The Bourne Group raises money for CHASE hospice care for children

The Bourne Group joined the recent CHASE Let’s Lunch fundraising initiative by holding a lunch and raffle at our offices in Gomshall. The lunch was a great success with close to 100 attendees and raising £3,000 for the vital work that CHASE does with life-limited children across Surrey, Sussex and South West London.

Rebecca Barnes, Bourne Group Marketing Manager, commented: “We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the response to the lunch. When we first decided to join in with the Let’s Lunch initiative, we envisaged a handful of staff and clients taking part and expected to raise just a few hundred pounds, but CHASE is such a worthwhile charity, everyone we contacted was extraordinarily generous. As an example, all of the food at the lunch was donated, completely free of charge, by Tom Cornwell of Celebration Cakes in Cranleigh, which allowed 100% of all donations, ticket and raffle sales to go to CHASE.”

Natalie Madigan, Corporate Fundraising Manager at CHASE, who attended the event, said: “Bourne Group’s lunch has been a resounding success, and will go some way towards the £4million that CHASE needs to raise this and every year. Each donation, no matter how large or small will help a child or their family and the £3,000 that the Bourne Group raised could help look after two families for more than a month.”
